Refund and Returns Policy

At Decepticomm, we stand by the quality of our products and services. This policy complies with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) consumer guarantees. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the ACL.

Consumer Guarantees (ACL)
All goods and services we supply come with automatic guarantees:

  • They are of acceptable quality, safe, and fit for purpose.

  • They match any description or sample.

  • Installation services are performed with due care and skill.

If a product or service has a major failure, you are entitled to a refund, replacement, or cancellation (for services) plus compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss. For minor failures, we will repair, replace, or refund.

You must contact us promptly with proof of purchase and provide the item for assessment if required. We may inspect or repair before deciding on a remedy. For dropshipped items, we will coordinate with the supplier but remain fully responsible for resolving your claim.

Change of Mind Returns (Voluntary)
We do not offer change-of-mind returns on:

  • Starlink installation services (once commenced).

  • Custom-configured networking products.

  • Opened/sealed software, consumables, or personalised items.

  • Dropshipped items (once dispatched by the foreign supplier).

For eligible standard in-stock networking products: Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery if unopened, in original packaging, and in resalable condition. You pay return shipping. We refund the product price (minus original shipping costs if applicable) within 10 business days of receipt and inspection. Sale/clearance items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless faulty.

Faulty or Damaged Items
Contact us immediately (ideally within 48 hours of delivery) with photos and order details. We will arrange pickup, repair, replacement, or refund at our cost for valid ACL claims.

Process

  1. Email admin@decepticomm.com with your order number and reason.

  2. Await approval and return instructions (include original packaging).

  3. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

We do not cover return shipping for change-of-mind returns unless required by ACL. Dropshipped items may involve additional processing time.
